Welcome to my student portfolio, a place where I collect the best multimedia projects since I began teaching Multimedia Authoring (Fall 1999). The links to the left will show you screen-captured videos of the best projects that have been authored in my classes, the oldest ones at the bottom of the list and the newest ones at the top.
Most of the projects shown here were made by a single student in a single semester. The work undertaken for each one of them is substantial and it deserves recognition. Creating multimedia applications require a broad set of technical skills and communication skills. Most of my students have one or several specialties but they have to show acquired knowledge in many multimedia authoring areas, among them:
Communication Skills
Each one of the Communication Skills mentioned above are fields of study with their own merits. The projects that I have selected show understanding of many of the concepts emerging from these fields. My students' challenge is to learn the principles that govern digital media and construct a meaningful interactive communications project in one semester.
Also it is worth mentioning that all my students receive instruction on Copyright Law and Fair Use principles. If students use commercial media for their own project, they understand that they have to own it (purchase it) and that it cannot be shared with anyone else but their professor or future employer.
